Ruby is the top-tier outcome of the Doppler process: instead of the usual marbled blacks and blues, the candy coat over the metallic base comes out a saturated, glassy red across the whole Talon blade. The ivory-handled karambit shape with its saw-tooth spine makes the deep red stand out even more, which is why this is one of the most sought knife finishes.

Doppler phases
Doppler and Gamma Doppler are split into phases. Standard Doppler has Phase 1–4 plus the rare Ruby (red), Sapphire (blue) and Black Pearl. Gamma Doppler adds Emerald as its top phase.
The phase is part of the item and changes both the look and the value — Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Black Pearl trade well above the numbered phases. On this page the phase is shown in the name and selectable where variants exist.
