About the Shadow Daggers

Look, animation and handling

Shadow Daggers are held as a matched pair, one dagger per hand, with short straight blades and a compact crossguard. Because there is no single large blade to spin, the inspect animation is a quick dual twirl rather than the long flips you see on the Flip or Butterfly knife, and the draw is correspondingly snappy. In a first-person view the two blades occupy less of the screen than a Bowie or M9, so finishes that rely on a large flat surface (Fade gradients, Marble Fade veins, Case Hardened blue patches) show on a smaller canvas split across two blades. The model has no fingercurl or animated open/close gimmick; its appeal is the unusual twin-blade profile and the brisk movement set.

Finishes Shadow Daggers carry

Shadow Daggers use the standard knife finish pool. From the Shadow Case era they support the core paints: Doppler and Gamma Doppler (with their phases and the rare Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl and Emerald variants), Fade, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Ultraviolet, Damascus Steel, Rust Coat, plus the painted-metal finishes Case Hardened, Crimson Web, Slaughter, Stained, Blue Steel, and the camo/cheap tier Forest DDPAT, Boreal Forest, Safari Mesh, Urban Masked, Scorched, and Night. There is also a plain Vanilla (un-painted) Shadow Daggers with no finish. Wear-sensitive finishes still scale Factory New to Battle-Scarred, and pattern-driven finishes (Case Hardened seeds, Fade percentage, Marble Fade fire-and-ice layouts, Doppler phase) drive value the same way they do on other knives.
