Hero progression and ability points

Collecting souls advances hero progression and grants ability unlocks or upgrade points. Each upgrade changes the ability as described on its card.

Read the next upgrade before spending points. Prioritize the effect your current fights need rather than following an old order without checking it.
Common questions
Are AP the same currency as shop souls?
No. Ability points are spent on ability progression; souls also drive purchases and the progression that awards resources.
Does every upgrade only add damage?
No. Tiers can alter cooldowns, control, healing, movement, charges and other behavior.
