Parrying is a timed defense against incoming melee attacks. A successful parry interrupts the attacker and creates an opening.
In practice
React to the attack’s wind-up. Repeatedly pressing parry without an incoming attack can leave it unavailable when you need it.

Does parry protect me from every damaging ability?
No. Ordinary melee defense is not universal spell immunity; individual ability interactions must be checked separately.
Can I parry while carrying the Soul Urn?
The current Urn runner cannot parry. Plan protection through movement and teammates instead.
